- Use filtered / mineralised water — reverse osmosis or very pure water may trigger false “water low” sensor readings (a pinch of salt can help)
- Clean monthly — drain and wipe, use mild acidic solution (e.g. vinegar or lemon) to remove scale
- Leave ventilation clearance — ensure air can circulate around the unit
- Do not overfill the ice basket — remove ice when indicated so the mechanism isn’t blocked
